چکیده
Plants of the genus Piper have long been used as medicinal herbs. The chemistry species has widely investigated and phytochemical investigations conducted in all parts world led to isolation a number physiologically active compounds. Thus, this study was carried out investigate phytochemicals from abbreviatum their acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activity, which not previously investigated. Fractionation purification aerial P. identification five methoxylated flavonoids, namely 5,7-dimethoxyflavone, 4ʹ,5,7-trimethoxyflavone, 3',4',5,7-tetramethoxyflavone, 5-hydroxy-7-methoxyflavone, 5-hydroxy-4ʹ,7-dimethoxyflavone, together with lupeol, lupenone, β-sitosterol, β-sitostenone. structures these compounds were obtained by analysis spectroscopic data, well comparison that reported data. Acetylcholinesterase activity revealed isolated flavones found inhibit AChE percentage inhibition values ranged 24.2 58.2%. This is first report on flavonoid abbreviatum. high variants may be chemotaxonomic markers for species.

To study the chemical constituents of Piper wallichii (Miq.) Hand.-Mazz., and to explore the effects of extractive on proliferation and telomerase activity of human tongue squamous cell carcinoma Tca83 cells and its anti-cancer mechanisms. Sephadex LH-20 and several other column chromatography techniques were employed for separation of chemical constituents from Piper wallichii (Miq.) Hand.Mazz...
متن کاملChemical constituents from the fungus Amauroderma amoiensis and their in vitro acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activities.
One new compound named amauroamoienin (1), together with thirteen known compounds (2-14), was isolated from the EtOAc extract of Amauroderma amoiensis. The structures of these compounds were elucidated by the analysis of 1D and 2D spectroscopic data and the MS technique. The bioassays of inhibitory activities of these isolates against acetylcholinesterase were evaluated, and compounds 1, 3, and...
متن کاملAcetylcholinesterase Inhibitory Activity of Standardized Cannabinoids-rich Fractions
Background: Since cannabis has been legally allowed for medicinal purposes in many countries, it has become more interesting issue, particularly in neurologic disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Inhibition of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) is one of the mechanisms for the treatment of AD. Objectives: The present study aimed to establish a method for preparation of cannabinoids-rich extrac...
متن کاملChemical constituents of Piper betle Linn. (Piperaceae) roots.
Column chromatography of the alcoholic extract of Piper betle roots furnished aristololactam A-II and a new phenyl propene, characterized as 4-allyl resorcinol, while the petroleum-ether extract yielded a diketosteroid, viz. stigmast-4-en-3,6-dione. All these compounds were characterized by spectroscopic means. Isolation of these compounds from this source is being reported here for the first t...
متن کاملIsolation and characterization of acetylcholinesterase inhibitors from Piper longum L.
Background and objectives: The cholinergic deficit correlates with the severity of Alzheimer’s disease. The cholinergic function can be improved by AChE inhibitors blocking this key enzyme in the breakdown of acetylcholine. Based on traditional medicine, during two last decades the use of herbal medicinal substances in dementia therapy has been studied. The fruit extract of <em...
